God’s Story in Haggai God raises up Haggai because the people had stopped building the house of the Lord and were concerned with their own interests. They had become distracted by setting up their own little kingdoms, and were in danger of forgetting God all over again. Haggai Speaks Today There is a lesson for us in Haggai about priorities. So how do we get our priorities straight? We want to follow Jesus by living for God’s glory, walking in the Holy Spirit, and making disciples.
