Pastor Jeff Knott of Grace Church in Port Hope, Ontario continues the sermon series “The Joseph Stories” with “Anointing”:
A.W. Tozer, “If the Holy Spirit was withdrawn from the church today, 95% of what we do would go on and no one would know the difference.”
We mistakenly thing we can do it on our own. Jesus said, “A part from me you can do nothing.”
Anointing is the power that God supplies for us to do what He calls us to do in the world.
Humble heart – it’s the way to keep the anointing in your life is to remain humble.
Humility is the soil in which the anointing grows.
Joseph has accepted his anointing, but it’s not because he has faith in himself, it’s because that faith is ever growing in him toward a God who is able to supply all that he needs to do what He’s called him to do.
God wants to expand our anointing.
It’s time to step out of what you’ve always done and step into new places of authority, new places of giftings, new places of anointing.
There’s more that God wants to release.
It may look different in the future.
If God is going to do a new work in our lives today, we can’t be afraid if it looks totally different than what God did back then.
God may just want to move you in places that you’ve never imagined.
